Everything on birthdate.baby is general information and arithmetic. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it does not create any professional relationship. It cannot account for your history, your pregnancy or anything your care team knows about you.
Always follow your midwife, doctor or maternity unit over anything you read here. If their date differs from this calculator, theirs is right: it usually came from a scan, which is more accurate than a date worked out from a period. If you think something is wrong, contact them rather than a website. They would rather hear from you early.
Accuracy
The dating maths follows the standard conventions and is covered by a test suite, but it is provided as is and without warranty. A due date is an estimate by definition: about 4 babies in 100 arrive on it. Scan windows, screening windows and gear recommendations reflect common practice, and practice varies between countries, hospitals and individual clinicians.
Use of the site
Use it freely for your own pregnancy. Do not scrape it, republish the content in bulk, or present the tools as your own. Linking to any page is welcome and needs no permission.
